Understanding what is happening inside a patient’s body is one of the most important aspects of gathering the diagnostic information needed to build a care plan. Getting lab work done is a widespread practice in many parts of healthcare. Some medical facilities must send out those samples to be tested offsite and wait for the results to be returned. This is not the case at RPMH. We have a robust laboratory that allows our team to take and analyze samples right here on campus. People living in Nolan and surrounding counties no longer must drive to bigger cities to get complete lab work done. RPMH can take care of the vast majority of laboratory work needed to assess your current conditions locally and more accurately.
The Rolling Plains laboratory is COLA accredited and follows all rules and regulations set forth by COLA.
Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital’s laboratory can provide comprehensive testing for:
RPMH is proud to be able to offer these tests to our community. Our laboratory team is here to help make sure your testing experience is as comfortable as possible and get the test results to your physician as quickly as possible. Do not spend your entire day driving across Texas to get tests, when all you need to do is stop by RPMH in Sweetwater, TX.
Food and beverages can alter some laboratory tests. Many times, the best comparison of certain test results can be made while the patient is fasting. For some tests, the patient is required to fast for eight to 12 hours.
Consult your physician when receiving laboratory orders to verify if you need to be fasting and if any medications will interfere with the test results.
