The inaugural Breast Cancer Awareness Benefit was held on November 5th, 2022, at the Blue Agave Cattle Company in Blackwell, Texas. Live music was present with Tommy Horton playing from 6:00pm to 8:30pm and Kelly Gunn closing the event. Close to 100 people came out to the Blue Agave to attend the event that benefits the Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital Foundation and the RPMH Mammography department. There was approximately $2,500 raised which will go into upgrading the mammography equipment at RPMH. There were 2 raffle items, a 9mm handgun, won by Hydie Stewart, and a Consuela purse, won by Shelly Glass.
The Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital Foundation and RPMH Radiology couldn't have put on such a successful event without the generous donations from the Blue Agave Cattle Company, The Rockin' S Cantina of Roscoe and the Prickly Porcupine.
A special thank you to Lori Brockman and Maribel Sanjuan-Smith, Mammographers, and Todd Smith, Radiology Director from Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital for their hard work with the Breast Cancer Awareness Benefit.
