2nd Annual Wild Game Dinner a Success

RPMH Foundation gains support with a different kind of fundraising event.

The Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital Foundation put on its 2nd annual Wild Game Dinner on May 13th, 2023, at the Nolan County Coliseum Annex. The event was a sellout, with over 200 people buying tickets. The presenting sponsor of the WGD was CPSI, a healthcare software company that has partnered with the foundation the past two years to help fund the event. The event was hosted by the RPMH Foundation. The RPMH Foundation Executive Director, TJ Wilson said "The goal of the dinner was for our community to have fun and not feel pressured to open their pocketbook as soon as they walked in the door while still raising awareness and funding for the foundation's projects. I think we succeeded in that mission." Kary Kent, Terry Locklar, Ken Becker and Wesley Gill cooked bison, elk, ostrich, quail, tuna, and chicken. The sides were provided by Peebles Provisions and the decor was presented by Bee's Decor and Janice Boil. Some of the Highland junior high students volunteered by seating, serving and cleaning up after the meal. The foundation Board of Directors consists of Sherie Alldredge, Ken Becker, Jason Shipp, Karen Hunt, Wesley Gill, Janice Boil, Terry Locklar and Jeff Allen. The projects presented for 2023 is Surgical Robotics, OB-GYN recruitment and Therapy Expansion. The date for the 2024 Wild Game Dinner has been set for May 18th, 2024.
