Shannon Powell, RN

Born and raised here in Sweetwater, and married to my middle school sweetheart, Britt, with two wonderful children. My journey began with RPMH at the age of 19 as I became the Weekend Ward Clerk for Med/Surg. While clerking amongst some amazing nurses it was then that I decided nursing would be my calling. I obtained my LVN license in 2007 through TSTC, here in Sweetwater. In 2020, I returned to RPMH, this time as a Registered Nurse, and eventually as the Director of Med/Surg & ICU in late 2021. One of my proudest accomplishments and most cherished memories looking back are that of where my journey began with RPMH as a teenager, and the full support from RPMH as I furthered my education. My return to RPMH truly felt like coming back home.
