Jaci started in the Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital Cardiac Rehab Department in 2014 as an Exercise Specialist. Jaci came to work with an unwavering sense of ambition. Jaci took over the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk becoming the president of this region's chapter. Jaci was chosen to be on a committee that focused on process improvement and employee engagement within the hospital and took on leading the Children’s Advocacy Center’s Angel Tree efforts at RPMH. Each year that Jaci has been at the helm, the number of Angel’s that were adopted has increased.
Jaci was thriving in the Cardiac Rehab and Fitness Departments while also going to nursing school. Jaci graduated from Angelo State University in December of 2021 and was hired in the Emergency Department in January of 2022 where she has excelled since.
Her original nomination stated: Jaci is a very hard-working nurse and always shows compassion to her patients. Jaci took care of my dad while he was having some heart issues, my mom was distraught, and Jaci took the time to answer her questions and make her feel calm. I am very proud of Jaci for all she has accomplished, she was a great asset in Cardiac Rehab and now she has taken on the crazy role of being an ER nurse and does it with such grace. We are very lucky to have her in our ER.
Congratulations, Jaci. Great job on this very well-deserved recognition.
