This employee came to RPMH during the thick of COVID as a door screener. I had the pleasure of seeing this person every time I went for an OB visit and well-child visits with my newborn. She was so wonderful and friendly every time. Her smile radiated even with a mask on.
About the time RPMH was able to move away from door screeners, the Business Office needed another staff member, and we had the pleasure of asking her to stay on and join the Business Office. She has been one of the best additions I could have hoped for.
She shows up and works hard. Everyone from staff to patients absolutely loves her! She is a constant beam of friendliness to whoever enters the business office. She has built trust that now many of the regulars who come in specifically ask for her.
I've even received several calls from people just to tell me how wonderful she is and that she is a pleasure to work with, from sorting through accts to taking payments. One in particular said, "She is a true gem and RPMH is extremely lucky to have her." We couldn’t agree more.
She keeps the Business Office clean and so nicely decorated with new decor that she changes out practically every month. It has brightened the office where it feels warm and inviting.
She is always willing to pitch in and take on new tasks or projects. And is always thinking of ways to improve not only the business office but the hospital. Perfect example: Dairy Queen was closed due to renovation. She came up with the brilliant idea of offering meal coupons to our dietary dept for the radio birthday drawing with KXOX.
Congratulations to Barbara Woolsey, our August employee of the month.
