Misty is our newest Home Health nurse at Rolling Plains Home Health. She has been an amazing asset to Home Health and the hospital in general. She shows the greatest compassion for her patients and patience for her coworkers. Misty tackles every single thing I give her. If you’ve ever done home health, you know sometimes those tasks are difficult, physically, mentally, and emotionally and that’s just the charting. Misty had a very difficult admit, although the documentation from the specialist did not represent the true extent of this patient’s condition and how difficult care would be she handled it like the professional she is. This patient found a source of compassion, understanding and an advocate in Misty, when they felt no one else would listen. She made sure this patient was as comfortable as they could possibly be given their condition. She advocated for this patient when they needed an elevated level of care. She followed up on the patient and counseled the patient through the hospital stay and discharge. She gave a little bit of herself to that patient who needed someone to care about their condition. She truly is a nurse who cares and goes well above and beyond to care for her patients and their family. We are so blessed to have her as part of our team at RPMH.
