Jaci Callan Brings Home the Final Employee of the Month Recognition of the Year

As the calendar comes to a close, the ER tallies the last winner of the year.

RPMH History

Jaci Hatch applied for “ANY” position on 06/05/2014.  In the past, she worked as a lifeguard, server, and bartender.  While checking her references we were told she was “ambitious, polite and responsible”.

We hired Jaci in July 2014 as an Exercise Specialist.  She married in August 2014 and changed her last name to Callan.  She had two children and then went back to nursing school in 2021.  Six-and-a-half years from her hire date, January 2022, we hired her as a full-time registered nurse in the ER.  The references were correct.  She is ambitious!

Jaci has served on boards and led the drives for the American Heart Walk and Angel Tree Donations.

Education:

Attended school at Animas High School in New Mexico

New Mexico State University in New Mexico  (Kinesiology Exercise Science)

West Texas A&M Canyon, Texas (Sport and Exercise Science)

Frank Phillip College Borger, Texas

Angelo State University, San Angelo, Texas (Nursing)

Nomination reads:  Jaci is a very hard-working nurse and always shows compassion to her patients.  Jaci took care of my dad while he was having some heart issues, my mom was distraught, and Jaci took the time to answer her questions and make her feel calm.  I am very proud of Jaci for all she has accomplished, she was a great asset in Cardiac Rehab and now she has taken on the crazy role of being an ER nurse and does it with such grace.  We are very lucky to have her in our ER.

Three outstanding characteristics of this employee:  Excellence, Compassion, and Others First.

Jaci, you have exceeded our expectations as a team member, and we are proud to have someone like you on our side.  May you keep progressing. Onwards and upwards!
